About the Role

The Specialist - Reception and Retail is a full-time, site-based position within Red Sea Global, located in Riyadh. This role is crucial for creating the initial impression for guests at the center, requiring an individual with strong interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of the activities offered. The specialist will be responsible for the efficient administration of the center and its retail outlet, with a strong emphasis on organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Pre-Opening Phase

• Collaborate with the Center Manager to develop and deliver the center and its necessary components.
• Support all Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE) teams during the delivery stage to achieve targets and initiate operational phasing.
• Manage inventory for the pre-opening phase and prepare retail stock for future years.
• Familiarize with all retail products, local activities, and course offerings, including required materials, paperwork, standards, prerequisites, and age requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Post-Opening Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail outlet according to company policy.
• Ensure all activities conducted from the Center are professional and assist operational staff in maintaining safe and professional daily activities.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records pertaining to retail activities and inventory.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability to achieve financial goals.
• Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
• Pay daily attention to ethical business practices, safety, cleanliness, company appearance, uniform standards, and approved environmental practices, escalating significant issues to the Center Manager.
• Ensure retail products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
• Assist staff and students with course registration and/or rental equipment, take bookings, and answer questions about courses/activities destinations.
• Act as the link between students and the staff team.

Operational Management and Compliance

• Report directly to the Center Manager, assisting in the smooth running of the center asset and supporting the development of other centers.
• Manage the purchasing budget and ensure sufficient stock levels.
• Adopt and follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent center operations.
• Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee and public safety, legislative compliance, high-quality product/service delivery, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

The Specialist will contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the center’s systems, processes, and practices. This includes considering international best practices, enhancing business processes, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity.
