About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Sr. Consultant, Functional MDG to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The primary objective of this role is to ensure an effective Master Data Governance (MDG) product that supports Alfanar’s global data strategy, maintaining high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated master data across systems for consistent, secure, and reliable enterprise operations.

Product Strategy and Governance

The Sr. Consultant will be responsible for defining and aligning the strategic direction for enterprise data governance tools and processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining the product roadmap for enterprise data governance tools, such as Pilog and SAP MDG.
• Aligning the product roadmap with the global data strategy and overarching business objectives.
• Owning the end-to-end MDG product lifecycle, from conception to retirement.
• Implementing governance rules, workflows, validations, and controls based on business owner decisions.

Data Integration and Quality Management

This role involves critical oversight of data integration, quality, and migration initiatives to ensure data integrity and consistency across the enterprise. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing integration with SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, data services, and legacy systems.
• Ensuring compatibility across the Alfanar ecosystem to maintain seamless data flow.
• Recommending and implementing data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives upon business owner approval.
• Partnering with data stewards to maintain high-quality master data and qualify the data dictionary.
• Defining global data migration strategy, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
• Overseeing cutover and mock tests for global rollouts to ensure successful data transitions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Project Delivery

The Sr. Consultant will serve as a key liaison, facilitating communication and ensuring timely delivery of MDG product features and enhancements. Key duties include:

• Acting as a liaison between business, IT, and data teams to bridge communication gaps.
• Collecting requirements, managing and executing the backlog, and prioritizing features for development.
• Being responsible for delivering MDG product features, enhancements, and integrations on time.
• Ensuring continuous improvements and innovation within the MDG product lifecycle.
• Performing planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.

Operational Excellence and Compliance

This role also encompasses broader operational accountabilities, focusing on quality, process improvement, and adherence to regulatory and internal standards. Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Providing periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Solving any related problems that arise and escalating complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensuring quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seeking automation opportunities.
• Complying with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensuring adherence to GDPR, SOX, internal policies, and data governance frameworks (ISO/DAMA).
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in Master Data Governance and related technologies. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a functional MDG role or similar capacity is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in SAP MDG, data strategy, and project delivery within a complex enterprise environment.
