About the Role

W Hotels, a brand within Marriott International, is seeking a Steward to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency within kitchen and storeroom areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, ensure proper storage of perishables, and rotate stock.
• Store cleaned wares in designated appropriate areas.
• Utilize detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink for dish cleaning.
• Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, returning soiled items for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
• Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue.
• Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
• Break down dirty bus tubs.
• Empty and maintain trashcans and the dumpster area.
• Clean and mop all areas within assigned departments.
• Dispose of glass in proper containers and break down cardboard boxes and other recyclables for the recycle bin.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
