Wood Polisher & Painter

About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Wood Polisher & Painter to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves applying various finishes to property surfaces and furniture, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using appropriate tools such as brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finishing by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through methods including stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with protective materials during painting and display appropriate paint signs.
• Clean and properly store paint, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors of paint, stain, or varnish as needed.

General Duties and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Support team efforts to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move up and down a ladder.
• Skill to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
