About the AML Officer Role

Tabby | تابي is seeking an AML Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to supporting the implementation and day-to-day operation of Tabby’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) framework. The role involves conducting transaction monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, and sanctions screening activities, alongside investigating potentially suspicious activity and ensuring compliance with SAMA requirements and internal financial crime policies. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct transaction monitoring and review alerts to identify potentially suspicious or unusual activity.
• Perform KYC and customer due diligence reviews in line with AML/CTF policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct sanctions and watchlist screening, escalating potential matches for further investigation.
• Investigate suspicious transactions and customer activity, documenting findings and recommendations appropriately.
• Support the preparation and submission of suspicious transaction/activity reports in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Monitor customer accounts and transactions for indicators of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crime risks.
• Maintain accurate and complete investigation records, case documentation, and supporting evidence.
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases to the AML Manager or relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of AML/CTF controls, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with AML risk assessments, periodic reviews, reporting, and regulatory requests.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology teams to address AML-related issues and strengthen controls.
• Stay informed of emerging AML/CTF typologies, regulatory developments, and financial crime risks relevant to fintech and digital wallets.
• Support internal audits, SAMA inspections, and other regulatory reviews by providing required documentation and information.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) roles.
• Demonstrated understanding of AML/CTF frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements, particularly SAMA regulations.
• Proficiency in conducting transaction monitoring, KYC, and sanctions screening activities.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills to identify and assess suspicious activity.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with various internal teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial crime risks relevant to the fintech and digital wallets sector.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The AML Officer will operate within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with various internal departments including Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology teams. This collaboration is essential for addressing AML-related issues and strengthening financial crime controls across the organization.
