About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia is seeking an Area Manager for Fulfillment Center Operations in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves leading a large, diverse team within a dynamic operational environment.

Role Overview

As an Area Manager, you will lead a significant team to ensure operational demands are met. This hands-on position offers exposure to complex global business operations, focusing on seamless execution and continuous improvement. You will implement strategies to drive productivity and collaborate with colleagues to resolve operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of quality and productivity, ensuring business objectives are met across all shifts.
• Support and lead a team, managing administrative tasks and fostering a strong team culture.
• Analyze performance and propose process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.

Operational Context

This role involves working shifts at one of Amazon's operational sites. Primary focus areas include maintaining safety standards within your team and across the site, alongside monitoring and sustaining process efficiency. Daily tasks will involve routine team management, operational duties, individual escalations, process improvement initiatives, and wide-scale operational contingency planning. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to meet customer demands and targets, which includes analyzing data and performance metrics with business leaders and discussing technical improvements with engineers.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
