The Role: Assistant Vice President International Finance

PJT Partners is seeking an Assistant Vice President International Finance to join its International Finance team, which supports the firm's operations outside the US. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the International Controller in London. The role is designed to build out the firm's finance capability in the Middle East, operating as an extension of the London-based International Finance team with autonomy to manage day-to-day financial operations effectively within the region.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Vice President International Finance will partner with global corporate functions, including Compliance, and integrate closely with the broader finance function spanning Tax, Equity, and Policy. Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing close processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Overseeing regulatory filings and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, such as the CMA and DFSA.
  • Coordinating statutory audits and monitoring IFRS and local regulatory developments across jurisdictions.
  • Managing treasury operations, which involves supporting cash flow forecasts, intercompany funding, cross-border transfers, and banking relationships.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) and supporting management and operating committee reporting.
  • Supporting tax compliance across the region, including VAT (ZATCA/FTA), Zakat, Corporate Income Tax, and ZATCA e-invoicing.
  • Partnering with colleagues across the global finance function on strategic initiatives, entity structuring, and other ad hoc projects as the Middle East business evolves.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

This role requires maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders. The Assistant Vice President will serve as a key point of contact for business partners, external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies within the region.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial operations and regulatory compliance within an international context.
