The Role of Technical Consultant

This role involves promoting Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and specific customer accounts, with a particular focus on Structural Heart procedures. The consultant will develop and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, partnering with physicians and hospital personnel to provide technical and clinical support. This position requires significant travel, estimated at 60-70% of the time, and will be based in Qassim, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and to specific customer accounts.
• Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including physicians and hospital personnel.
• Provide technical and clinical support at hospitals, covering therapy indications, pre-procedure planning, intra-operative assistance, and post-implant patient management.
• Deliver technical expertise through presentations and product demonstrations.
• Conduct on-site education and consulting, supporting the establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations.
• Offer on-call support as needed and travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
• Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to existing products/applications to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the commercial organization to recommend enhancements in sales processes, product launches, and clinical support pathways.
• Maintain ongoing technical development by staying informed on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings.
• Participate in cross-functional assignments.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical device industry or a hospital environment.
• Deep understanding of pain management and neuromodulation therapies.
• Experience supporting Structural Heart procedures, specifically TAVI and TPVI.
• Familiarity with the Operating Theater (OT) environment, including sterilization and radiation protocols.
• Knowledge of current products, technologies, and market trends.
• Ability to effectively teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support staff.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with radiology protocols and imaging technology.
• Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
• Prior hospital or clinic experience.
• Ability to coordinate and participate in multiple tasks or projects within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a consistent record of meeting deadlines.

Work Environment and Location

The Assoc Tech Consultant Structural Heart will be based in Qassim, Saudi Arabia, and is expected to travel 60-70% of the time to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
