Business Analyst (m/f/d)

About the Role

Halian is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (m/f/d) with a strong background in Mortgage and Home Finance products. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on supporting the delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives within the banking or financial services sector.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. This position involves ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into effective solutions, with a preference for experience within the Saudi Arabian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to understand current processes, pain points, and future-state requirements.
• Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, process maps, and use cases.
• Analyze mortgage and home finance products, processes, and customer journeys to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support solution design discussions and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation of test scenarios, test execution support, and defect management.
• Monitor project deliverables to ensure requirements are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Assist with change management, process improvement, and business transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, policies, and governance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Business Analysis experience within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong experience working on Mortgage Lending, Home Finance, Housing Loans, or related lending products.
• Proven ability to gather and document complex business requirements.
• Experience mapping end-to-end mortgage and loan origination processes.
• Strong understanding of lending operations, credit assessment workflows, customer onboarding, and loan servicing.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience supporting system implementations, digital transformation programs, or process improvement initiatives.
