Role Overview

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chef de Partie to join its culinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on the precise preparation and cooking of food items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. The role also involves supporting management in various employee-related tasks and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures.

Core Culinary Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare special meals or replace products as required.
• Prepare cold dishes.
• Control the quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Ensure proper food portions, distribution, and dressing.

Operational Duties and Communication

• Regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and rotisseries.
• Remove food from the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Keep accurate food records.
• Communicate any necessary assistance during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform the head chef of excess food products that can be utilized in daily specials.
• Inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected products and special dishes available on the menu.
• Ensure the consistent quality of all food products.

Team Leadership and Compliance

• Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, serving as a professional example.
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; and complete required safety training and obtain certifications.
• Maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
• Ensure compliance with all quality expectations and standards.

General Expectations and Physical Demands

• Anticipate and address guest service needs promptly.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
