Commercial Manager Grocery

About the Role

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Commercial Manager - Grocery to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction across various Grocery categories. The Commercial Manager will lead supplier partnerships, manage commercial negotiations, and oversee assortment planning, pricing, and promotions to ensure sustainable business growth and product availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies for Grocery categories to achieve sales, margin, market share, and growth targets.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, joint business plans, and commercial agreements.
• Drive category performance through assortment optimization, strategic pricing, and promotional planning.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Analyze sales, profitability, stock levels, and category KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Store teams to ensure product availability and successful execution of commercial plans.
• Identify and develop strategic supplier partnerships, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, category performance, and overall profitability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience managing Grocery categories within a retail, hypermarket, supermarket, e-commerce, or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of packaged food, beverages, household, and general grocery market dynamics.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, commercial planning, and category management.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in sales, margin, pricing, and promotional performance analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and commercial acumen.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
