About the Role

Citi is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join its Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves contributing to the establishment of internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs designed to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. The role is integral to maintaining risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and safeguarding the franchise.

Compliance Risk Management Framework

The Compliance Officer will play a key role in designing and delivering a robust risk management framework. This includes engaging with ICRM product and function coverage teams to develop and apply CRM program solutions that align with business and customer needs, all while adhering to the Citi program framework. The position supports senior staff in developing and maintaining best-in-class Compliance programs, policies, and practices for ICRM.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements.
• Identifying potential risks and escalating them for further review as required.
• Maintaining reports for control, tracking, and analysis purposes, ensuring appropriate and secure retention of documents.
• Assisting senior staff in investigating and responding to raised compliance risk management issues and preparing routine correspondence.
• Interacting and collaborating with other areas within ICRM and Citi as necessary.
• Assisting in the management of the regulatory inventory, regulatory change management process, and regulatory exam coordination/logistics.
• Assisting in the preparation, editing, and maintenance of Compliance program-related materials.

Risk Assessment and Ethical Conduct

A core aspect of this role involves appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made. This requires demonstrating particular consideration for Citi's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. The Compliance Officer will drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and ensure transparent escalation, management, and reporting of control issues.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) function, requiring collaboration across various teams within Citi to achieve compliance objectives.
