Position Summary

IRISS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Condition Monitoring Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves conducting condition monitoring demonstrations and field services, including vibration analysis, Motion Amplification, Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA), and infrared thermography. The successful candidate will possess strong hands-on diagnostic capabilities, effective customer communication skills, and the ability to translate inspection findings into practical maintenance and reliability recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct condition monitoring demonstrations for customers, including equipment trials, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Perform vibration data collection and analysis for rotating machinery, diagnose faults, and recommend corrective actions, applying Level 2 Vibration Analysis knowledge.
  • Execute Motion Amplification inspections to visualize and identify structural and machinery movement, resonance, and dynamic abnormalities.
  • Conduct Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) and related electrical condition monitoring to identify potential motor, rotor, stator, power-quality, and mechanical-load issues.
  • Perform Level 2 infrared thermography inspections on electrical, mechanical, process, and industrial assets, including furnace thermography and high-temperature inspections.
  • Capture high-quality thermal and visual images, interpreting temperature patterns, thermal gradients, and abnormal heat signatures.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative thermal analysis considering emissivity, reflected temperature, equipment loading, and environmental conditions.
  • Develop inspection routes, data-collection plans, service procedures, and condition monitoring programs in coordination with customers and internal teams.
  • Analyze collected data, assess severity, identify probable failure modes, and provide practical recommendations for maintenance and reliability teams.
  • Prepare professional technical reports detailing inspection methodology, findings, and recommended actions.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions and monitor equipment condition.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, equipment histories, and customer service documentation.
  • Support sales activities by identifying customer applications, recommending solutions, and assisting with quotations and technical proposals.
  • Provide technical presentations, customer training, application support, and after-sales technical assistance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, reliability, operations, and engineering personnel, communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work adheres to approved procedures, client requirements, HSE rules, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Hands-on exposure to rotating equipment, electrical systems, predictive maintenance, and reliability programs.
  • Specific experience in furnace thermography and high-temperature inspection.
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments such as oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, utilities, manufacturing, steel, cement, or mining.
  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, compressors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, turbines, conveyors, bearings, electrical panels, MCCs, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Customer-facing experience in equipment demonstrations, technical service delivery, troubleshooting, and application development.

Required Competencies and Saudi Arabia Requirements

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities with a hands-on approach to field inspection and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly.
  • Proficiency in technical reporting and documentation.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with high attention to detail and commitment to inspection quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer assignments and prioritize field activities.
  • Strong commitment to HSE, quality, confidentiality, and professional standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Candidate must currently be based in Saudi Arabia.
  • A transferable Iqama is mandatory.
  • A valid Saudi Arabian driving license is mandatory.

Work Environment and Expectations

This role requires extensive travel within Saudi Arabia to customer sites, including industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, manufacturing, utilities, and other heavy-industry facilities, often involving multiple-day site assignments. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct customer demonstrations, deliver accurate and timely condition monitoring services and reports, build strong customer relationships, and identify additional service opportunities. Maintaining high standards of data quality, technical diagnosis, HSE compliance, and customer satisfaction is essential, contributing to the development of the company's condition monitoring service business across Saudi Arabia.
