About VaporVM and the Role

VaporVM is seeking a Cyber Recovery & Data Protection Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for enhancing the resilience and security of enterprise data environments against modern cyber threats.

Role Overview

The specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of advanced cyber recovery and data protection solutions. This includes developing ransomware-resilient, air-gapped, and immutable data protection environments, with a particular focus on Dell Cyber Recovery Solutions (CRS) and other enterprise backup technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Dell Cyber Recovery Solutions (CRS) for mission-critical enterprise environments.
• Administer and optimize Dell Data Domain, Networker, Avamar, and Commvault backup platforms.
• Design and manage cyber vaults, air-gapped environments, and immutable backup infrastructure.
• Configure and manage vault orchestration, replication, recovery workflows, and recovery automation.
• Implement and integrate Dell CyberSense for ransomware detection, anomaly analysis, and recovery validation.
• Perform disaster recovery, ransomware recovery, and cyber recovery testing.
• Monitor backup infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and resiliency.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and cyber-vault governance processes.
• Support data center migrations, resiliency initiatives, and enterprise recovery planning.
• Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization of backup and recovery environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, storage, and business teams to ensure data protection requirements are met.
• Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and operational dashboards for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess 10+ years of IT experience across enterprise backup, recovery, cyber recovery, and data protection solutions. A proven ability to design and manage ransomware-resilient, air-gapped, and immutable data protection environments is essential for this role.

Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on expertise in Dell Cyber Recovery Solutions (CRS) is required. Proficiency in administering and optimizing enterprise backup technologies, including Dell Data Domain, Networker, Avamar, and Commvault, is also necessary. Experience with Dell CyberSense for ransomware detection and analysis is highly valued.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves close collaboration with various technical and business teams to ensure comprehensive data protection strategies are implemented and maintained.
