Datacenter Operations Manager

About the Role

Mohammed Mansour Al-Rumaih (MMR KSA) is seeking a Datacenter Operations Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and security of critical infrastructure within a data center, ensuring continuous uptime and optimal performance. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Datacenter Operations Manager will be responsible for a range of critical functions, including facility operations, vendor management, compliance, and team leadership.

• Ensure 24/7 operation and reliability of critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, HVAC, UPS, and generators.
• Monitor environmental controls such as temperature and humidity to maintain optimal conditions.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all facility systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing, upgrades, and emergency repairs.
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
• Enforce adherence to industry standards, such as Uptime Institute Tier classifications, and maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols for staff and contractors.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and emergency response plans, conducting regular drills and audits to ensure readiness.
• Prepare and manage facility budgets, including capital expenditures.

Reporting and Documentation

Accurate reporting and meticulous documentation are essential components of this role, providing transparency and supporting strategic decision-making.

• Provide regular reports on facility performance, uptime, and incidents.
• Track and report energy consumption, capacity utilization, and efficiency metrics.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly reports to senior management on operational status, risks, and improvement plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, compliance audits, and vendor performance.

Team Leadership

The Datacenter Operations Manager will lead a technical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Supervise technical staff and ensure proper training and development.
• Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications and Experience
