This full-time role for an E&C Cluster & Country Business Partner Middle East & Turkey is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires over 10 years of experience.

Role Overview and Context

The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function at Takeda is a strategic enabler of sustainable business growth, supporting innovation, responsible decision-making, risk management, and ethical behavior. Reporting to the Area Head of E&C, this dual-hat leadership position is responsible for translating Global and Area E&C strategy into effective Cluster and Local Operating Company (LOC) execution. The role holder will lead E&C across the Middle East & Turkey Cluster, providing strategic direction, governance, and risk oversight. Additionally, the role includes maintaining an effective E&C program in the home LOC, encompassing local business partnership, risk assessment, and remediation follow-up. As a key member of both the Cluster Leadership Team and the Area Ethics and Compliance Leadership Team, this position contributes to driving innovation, responsible growth, and patient-focused decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and execute the Cluster E&C strategy in alignment with Global and Area priorities.
• Act as a strategic E&C partner to Cluster leadership, embedding ethics, compliance, governance, risk management, and organizational culture into key decisions.
• Oversee the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and escalation of ethics and compliance risks across the Cluster and home LOC.
• Lead, coach, and develop Country E&C Business Partners to ensure consistent framework application, risk escalation, and local execution.
• Advise the Head of Cluster and Cluster Leadership Team on risk-based, ethical, and accountable business decisions.
• Chair the local Risk, Ethics & Compliance Committee (RECC) for the home LOC, as applicable.
• Own home LOC E&C program execution, including local risk assessment, procedures, controls, training, communications, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Review and constructively challenge high-risk, material, or cross-country activities for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and PTRB principles.
• Oversee risk-based monitoring and support audit/assurance activities across the Cluster.
• Promote integrity, psychological safety, speak-up culture, and ethical decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant E&C, risk management, and/or legal experience within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industry.
• Proven leadership experience, including partnering with senior leaders and leading teams directly or through influence in a multi-country environment.
• Experience designing, implementing, and overseeing E&C programs.
• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience.

Work Environment and Travel

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires travel to various meetings, including overnight trips, and international travel will be necessary.
