About the Early Career Trainee Project Engineer Role

GE Vernova is seeking an Early Career Trainee Project Engineer to join the Grid Solutions team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This internship program is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to gain practical experience in customer project engineering. The trainee will contribute to projects focused on building a more reliable, resilient, and sustainable grid.

Program Focus

The program offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities within supportive teams. The trainee will specifically support high-voltage GIS substation and synchronous condenser projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on developing technical, coordination, and project execution skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support engineering activities and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, and safety expectations.
Assist in the preparation of layouts, schematics, technical documents, bills of quantities, and customer submissions, and follow up on open engineering actions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and support coordination efforts with customers, suppliers, site teams, and other project stakeholders.
Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, clarification sessions, training, and site visits under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Contribute to quality, EHS awareness, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives by sharing observations, lessons learned, and improvement ideas.

Qualifications and Experience

Recent graduate or early-career professional with 0-1 years of experience.
Eagerness to gain practical experience in customer project engineering.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and is structured as an internship. The successful candidate will work within supportive teams, contributing to significant grid infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
