About the Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Role

alfanar, a company with operations in construction, manufacturing, and design and development centers across the Middle East and beyond, is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Maintenance for its operations in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to the company's operational excellence.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of industrial equipment through diligent maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. The Electrical Engineer, Maintenance will play a key part in diagnosing electrical issues, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and collaborating with technicians to extend equipment lifespan and enhance operational efficiency, thereby supporting the smooth functioning of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Areas

• Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, and automation systems.
• Assist in the diagnosis of electrical faults and the implementation of effective solutions for equipment ranging from stationary plant machinery to mobile heavy equipment.
• Contribute to projects focused on improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety, such as equipment upgrades and energy-saving initiatives.
• Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to foster a zero-harm work environment.
• Support the maintenance of accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts within the company's digital management system.
• Actively participate in training sessions covering new technologies, updated safety standards, and best practices in maintenance.

Foundational Requirements and Skills

• A foundational understanding of electrical principles, power systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and control circuits.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, characterized by a curious and analytical mindset with a drive to understand operational mechanics and failure points.
• An eagerness to learn, exhibiting a proactive attitude and a strong desire for professional development and skill acquisition.
• A high level of safety consciousness and a genuine commitment to adhering to safety procedures.
