About the Role

Hays is seeking an experienced Employee Life Cycle Team Lead for HR Shared Services. This contract role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on leading HR operations across the Middle East region. The position is responsible for delivering HR operational support, driving process excellence, and enhancing the employee experience through effective leadership of a team focused on employee lifecycle services.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure service delivery excellence and compliance with local labor regulations. This role involves continuous improvement of HR processes through digitalization and operational excellence initiatives, contributing to a high-performing HR Shared Services function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Employee Life Cycle team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of HR policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service center documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on HR operations, policies, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Deliver professional HR advisory support to employees, managers, and HR stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment laws and regulations across the region.
• Monitor service delivery performance through SLAs and KPIs, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve service quality, efficiency, and employee experience.
• Utilize HR technologies, case management systems, and digital solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Manage and resolve complex HR cases and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
• Support talent development, succession planning, knowledge sharing, and best-practice implementation within HR Shared Services.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in HR Shared Services or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing HR operational teams.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
• Experience with HR technologies and case management systems.
