alfanar is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical power plant projects.

Role Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to perform commissioning and conduct comprehensive tests on power plants before they become operational. The Engineer will ensure all systems meet specified functional and safety standards, playing a crucial role in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project and new equipment test reports, including necessary corrections.
• Document all non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts thoroughly.
• Conduct functional testing according to the specified scheme and coordinate activities during customer inspections.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during power plant testing and site commissioning.
• Execute site testing and commissioning activities for substations or power plants.
• Test and commission substation equipment, including various types of relays, switchgear, and transformers.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures throughout testing and commissioning processes.

Technical Support and Team Development

• Provide technical support by reviewing design documents prior to their official release.
• Train subordinates and facilitate the formation of effective work teams.
• Offer leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates across all aspects of their work.
• Delegate assignments to subordinates and ensure fair task distribution to maintain morale and motivation.

Operational Excellence and Compliance

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per established delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
• Provide periodic reports detailing any deviations and the execution status of planned tasks.
• Resolve related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues when necessary.
• Initiate continuous improvement, corrective, and preventive actions, maintaining accurate records in consultation with the department manager.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking automation opportunities.
• Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Qualifications and Work Environment

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in a related field. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the successful candidate will work within a dynamic environment focused on the testing and commissioning of critical power infrastructure.
