Engineering Apprenticeship at Airbus Defence and Space

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a motivated Engineering Apprentice for System Engineering to join its multidisciplinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to develop foundational engineering competencies within a professional environment.

Role Purpose and Scope

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience across key engineering domains, including Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation (V&V), Integration, and Information Technology and Communications (ITCOMs). The apprentice will contribute to complex technical projects, gaining practical skills and understanding core engineering processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design documentation, and interface management.
• Assist in Verification and Validation processes by helping define test cases, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure system compliance.
• Participate in hardware and software Integration efforts, troubleshooting interoperability issues, and supporting system-level testing.
• Contribute to ITCOMs projects, aiding in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of communication and IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and adhere to quality and safety standards.

Apprenticeship Program Structure

The program provides structured mentorship and training specifically in Systems Engineering, V&V, Integration, and ITCOMs. Participants will gain exposure to large-scale, complex engineering projects within a collaborative and innovative work culture.
