The Role of Evidence Generation Specialist

AbbVie is seeking an Evidence Generation Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and is responsible for the operational delivery of the affiliate evidence-generation portfolio. The specialist will lead the end-to-end execution of approved evidence-generation studies and scientific publications, reporting to the Evidence Generation Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of all approved evidence-generation studies, developing detailed implementation plans with clear timelines, milestones, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor study progress, risks, and mitigation actions, ensuring complete, compliant, and inspection-ready documentation.
• Act as the primary contact for CRO partners, managing vendor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and financial reconciliation.
• Coordinate investigator engagement activities, support site identification and activation, and facilitate study start-up and close-out processes.
• Track recruitment and overall study progress, identify timeline or budget risks, and escalate critical issues to the Evidence Generation Lead or Medical Director.
• Own affiliate publication planning, lead publication strategy execution, and manage publication vendors and medical writers.
• Coordinate manuscript and abstract development and submission, ensuring publication compliance and required approvals.
• Coordinate evidence dissemination activities across Medical, Market Access, and Commercial teams, maintaining publication trackers, budgets, and impact metrics.

The local Medical Affairs Evidence Generation function is responsible for translating approved evidence priorities into high-quality, compliant studies and scientific publications. This function delivers affiliate evidence plans through disciplined study execution, effective external-partner management, robust portfolio oversight, and timely dissemination of evidence across relevant internal and external scientific channels.
