About TawanTech and the Role

TawanTech is seeking an Expert Cloud Container Platforms Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position is central to managing and maintaining Azure infrastructure, specifically for Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) environments.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the secure, compliant, and cost-efficient operation of container platforms within Azure. The Expert Cloud Container Platforms Engineer will provide essential support to the platform team by delivering stable infrastructure, conducting comprehensive monitoring, performing capacity planning, and efficiently troubleshooting issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Azure infrastructure required for ARO, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Configure and maintain load balancers, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, and ingress-related infrastructure.
• Ensure secure connectivity, access control, and policy enforcement for container platforms.
• Support the platform team by providing stable infrastructure, monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage supporting Azure services such as API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, DNS, Key Vault, and monitoring tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform to standardize cluster-related infrastructure.
• Monitor underlying resources, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong operational health.
• Ensure compliance, security best practices, and cost efficiency for all container-related infrastructure.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing Azure infrastructure, covering compute, networking, storage, and security.
• Demonstrated understanding of AKS and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) architecture and operational requirements.
• Good knowledge of DevOps concepts, including CI/CD, registries, and pipelines.
• Experience with Azure load balancers, VNETs, NSGs, firewalls, private link, and DNS.
• Familiarity with platform dependencies such as identity (Entra ID), Key Vault, Log Analytics, monitoring, and policies.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) and automation scripting.
