Role Overview

TawanTech is seeking an Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Azure environments.

Position Summary

The Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive management and optimization of Azure cloud environments. This includes overseeing core infrastructure, networking, security protocols, and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings. The role places a strong emphasis on implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), disks, storage accounts, and other core infrastructure components.
• Oversee configurations for Wide Area Network (WAN), general networking, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Application Gateway.
• Operate and provide support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources using Network Watcher and various Azure monitoring tools.
• Enhance the security posture of Azure environments through Defender for Cloud and other Azure Security services.
• Support and maintain Azure PaaS services, including Logic Apps, App Services, Functions, and their related integrations.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Ensure optimal performance, high availability, and cost efficiency across all Azure resources.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure, networking, and security.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex issues and providing robust operational support.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation tools.

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on expertise with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Application Gateway, and various Azure storage services.
• Solid experience with Azure PaaS offerings, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Workbooks.
• Skilled in IaC tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Azure certifications are preferred.
