About the Role

Star is seeking an experienced and highly capable Female Private English Teacher to provide full-time academic support to a student studying at Key Stages 3 and 4 in Riyadh. This role involves delivering personalised, structured, and engaging English tuition aligned with the British curriculum. The focus will be on strengthening the student's subject knowledge, developing confidence and independence, and preparing them effectively for GCSE or IGCSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality one-to-one English lessons.
• Teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Supporting the student with reading, writing, analysis, grammar, vocabulary, and examination technique.
• Preparing the student for relevant GCSE or IGCSE assessments.
• Assessing progress regularly and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Identifying areas of weakness and creating targeted intervention plans.
• Developing the student's confidence, motivation, organisation, and independent study skills.
• Setting appropriate assignments, revision tasks, and extension work.
• Maintaining accurate records of lesson content, progress, attainment, and future objectives.
• Communicating professionally with the family regarding academic development and priorities.
• Working alongside other educators, tutors, schools, or educational advisers where required.
• Supporting continuity of learning during school holidays, examination periods, and family travel.
• Maintaining a calm, respectful, and encouraging learning environment at all times.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced English teacher with 5-10 years of experience, a strong understanding of the British curriculum, and a proven record of supporting students through KS3 and KS4. Applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students aged approximately 11-16.
• Familiarity with GCSE and/or IGCSE specifications.
• A clear understanding of assessment objectives and examination requirements.
• The ability to tailor lessons to an individual student's learning style and academic profile.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, patient, and encouraging teaching manner.
• The confidence to work independently within a private household.
• Professional maturity, discretion, and sound judgement.
• A flexible and collaborative approach to working with the family and wider educational team.

Working Arrangements and Location

This is a full-time private teaching position based primarily in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The teacher will provide consistent academic support around the student's school commitments, remaining responsive to the family's schedule and educational requirements. Exact working hours, weekly schedules, rest days, and other employment arrangements will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate. The role may involve adjustments to the usual timetable during examination periods, school holidays, academic transitions, and family travel. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to maintain continuity of the student's education.

Compensation and Application
