Role Overview: Financial Reporting, Senior Associate

This full-time position for a Financial Reporting, Senior Associate is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is part of the established Finance Team, which supports offices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The Financial Accounting Team works closely with Local External Accountants and is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting for the EMEA business.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete monthly close processes to global deadlines, including the preparation and posting of month-end journals.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the timely resolution of any differences.
• Review quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations and Invoicing, collaborating with the Treasury Team to ensure timely settlement of Intercompany Balances.
• Reconcile local GAAP / management accounts monthly, identify differences, and adjust GAAP and/or local books as appropriate.
• Liaise with external advisors, including auditors and local accountants.
• Support local country audits, ensuring timely submission of Financial Statements.
• Assist the A&M Tax Team with the timely submission of Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing Returns.
• Provide review support for VAT and other fiscal returns, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to local fiscal authorities and proper accounting in GAAP books.
• Develop an understanding of and support Local Content (KSA) and In-Country Value (ICV) compliance and filing requirements across the Middle East.
• Support the integration of a new ERP system, including testing and data review.
• Evaluate and update existing workflows to leverage new ERP functionality and best practices.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements as required.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A to ensure correct cost allocation to business units.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Ensure a robust control environment is operated and maintained.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory developments across the Middle East that may affect responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to report to a Financial Manager and collaborate with the Finance Team, external advisors, auditors, the ME Finance Director, and the wider business.
