Fire & Life Safety Engineer FLS Degree Required

About the Role

Maz Engineering is seeking a Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting FLS design and site supervision, coordinating with relevant authorities, and ensuring project compliance with applicable codes and requirements. The position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review FLS drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise FLS-related works.
• Coordinate with Civil Defense and follow up on requirements, approvals, and procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports and track site observations through to closure.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree specifically in Fire & Life Safety Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering is mandatory. Degrees in other engineering disciplines supplemented only by FLS/HSE courses or professional certifications do not meet this academic requirement.
• Practical knowledge of Civil Defense requirements and procedures.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) under the Engineer category.
• Knowledge of applicable Saudi codes and NFPA standards is preferred.

Work Environment and Location

The role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time position. Travel to project sites will be required as needed.
