Infrastructure Design Manager

About the Role

Nesma & Partners is seeking an experienced and strategic Infrastructure Design Manager to lead and direct engineering processes for infrastructure projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves cascading engineering strategies, driving technical excellence, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the formulation of engineering frameworks and lead the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical constraints, and cost efficiencies.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the Engineering department, setting clear objectives, fostering talent development, and promoting a value-driven, ethical culture.
• Manage the engineering lifecycle to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation, while monitoring financial performance against approved budgets.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, cross-functional teams, and external subcontractors to ensure engineering activities align with target timelines and project specifications.
• Drive adherence to ISO procedures, perform quality checks on engineering deliverables, and promote high standards in Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE), and sustainability.
• Resolve complex engineering issues, ensure compliance with industry best practices and legislation, and identify opportunities for process and productivity improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of total related experience, including at least 3+ years with growing managerial accountability in similar engineering leadership roles.
• Language: Fluency in professional English with excellent stakeholder engagement and alignment skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior tier-1 EPC or mega-infrastructure project experience in the GCC/Saudi market.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or relevant engineering chartership.
