About the Integrated Commercial Director Role

Baker Hughes is seeking an Integrated Commercial Director Field Development to lead complex commercial and proposal activities for integrated upstream field development opportunities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on maximizing asset value and driving full-cycle project success.

Role Context and Strategic Impact

Baker Hughes Integrated Services is dedicated to planning, managing, and executing multi-disciplinary well and field development projects through a single accountable team. The Integrated Commercial Director plays a pivotal role in delivering predictable outcomes, optimizing asset value, and reducing operational risk for operators. This involves developing robust commercial frameworks, supporting customer negotiations, and ensuring proposals and agreements deliver shareholder value while addressing technical, operational, financial, and contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop proposals, negotiate with customers, and ensure deals deliver shareholder value through competitive pricing, including compiling and submitting required tender documentation.
  • Handle complex products, services, and systems, applying technical knowledge and understanding of the operational environment to client-specific conditions for analysis and system design.
  • Lead the commercial structuring of integrated field development opportunities, covering pricing, scope definition, contracting strategy, risk allocation, and customer value proposition.
  • Apply knowledge of upstream development practices across geoscience and engineering disciplines to support technically informed commercial solutions.
  • Understand the technical context of end-to-end field development plans and develop accompanying commercial frameworks that support customer and business objectives.
  • Manage complex long-term sales processes, encompassing contracts for sales, rental, operation, maintenance, services, integrated solutions, and other field development-related commercial arrangements.
  • Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements related to E&P business development, such as asset acquisition, joint operating agreements, commercial partnerships, and associated liabilities.
  • Manage important business unit clients and senior customer interfaces.
  • Coordinate sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance, operations, product lines, and leadership.
  • Participate in major sales and business development activities for large, complex, or strategically important opportunities.
  • Manage significant or highly complex markets with substantial growth potential.
  • Ensure proposals and negotiated agreements comply with internal governance, risk management, approval processes, and shareholder value expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires strong E&P business development experience, comprehensive knowledge of upstream field development practices, and the ability to translate end-to-end technical development plans into fit-for-purpose commercial structures.
