Manager of Inventory Monitoring

About the Role

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital is seeking a Manager of Inventory Monitoring to oversee and manage all responsibilities related to the Inventory Monitoring department. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role involves comprehensive oversight of inventory movement, ensuring accuracy in records, and maintaining custody status within the automated system.

Key Responsibilities

• Control the movement of items across warehouses, supply rooms, emergency rooms, maintenance units, and workshops using item stock cards and supporting documentation.
• Record permanent items issued as personal custody for employees, departments, sections, and affiliated sites within the automated system (Form No. 8).
• Execute all procedures related to automatic recording settlements in item control cards and custody cards, and monitor any changes within the automated system.
• Conduct periodic matching of restrictions in item control cards with those in item cards, saving these matchings in the automated system for future reference.
• Provide relevant parties with necessary warehouse data and information regarding deficits, losses, damages, or other events, including annual needs estimation.
• Examine data on non-moving and overstocked items, providing recommendations for action.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of actual item balances in warehouses against corresponding balances in item control cards to verify entry regularity.
• Prepare data on the value of deficits and increases in item balances based on reports from inventory committees or the General Auditing Bureau.
• Study inventory reports, extract inventory balances through the automated system, and assign values at the end of each fiscal year.
• Respect patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
• Participate in and support quality improvement and patient safety activities, individually or as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing inventory monitoring departments.
• Proficiency in automated inventory systems and related procedures.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing inventory data and preparing reports.

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital. The role requires active participation in a healthcare setting, emphasizing patient-centered care and quality improvement initiatives.
