About the Opportunity

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to mechanical staff while working on large-scale luxury projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Master Plan reports, including utility demand load calculations, sizing major equipment, and selective protection coordination.
  • Define tie-in point requirements and demonstrate a full understanding of wet utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage.
  • Review designs of mechanical equipment for Sewerage Treatment Plants, various Stormwater, Sewage, and Irrigation Pumping Stations, fire pump stations, district cooling networks, and Gas supply systems.
  • Prepare design reports, specifications, and tender documents, and secure design approvals for different project phases, coordinating with clients, authorities, and sub-consultants.
  • Review design reports prepared by other consultants and prepare comprehensive design review reports.
  • Prepare technical proposals and estimations for projects, conduct technical evaluations of bids, and compile evaluation reports.
  • Coordinate effectively with all local authorities.
  • Carry out Value Engineering for various technical options and prepare Value Engineering reports with recommendations.
  • Prepare clarifications to Contractor RFIs and review/approve key technical submittals related to Mechanical works and dry utilities.

Required Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical designs adhering to local and international standards.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in using BIM software, specifically Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience in infrastructure project calculations and report writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze specific project requirements for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Preferred experience in designing mechanical systems for multi-story buildings and specialized facilities such as data centers.

Knowledge of Standards and Regulations

  • Familiarity with KSA Authorities' regulations and requirements, including Civil Defense, Municipality, Water Authority, and Electrical Authority.
  • Proficiency with KSA local codes and international standards such as NFPA and BS.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design, project management, and technical leadership within infrastructure and building systems.
