About the Role

W Hotels is seeking a Room Service Operator to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for managing guest room service orders, ensuring accurate communication with kitchen staff, and delivering a high standard of guest service. The role involves direct guest interaction over the phone and meticulous order processing to ensure guest satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

• Receive and process room service orders accurately over the phone.
• Provide detailed information on menu selections and confirm availability with kitchen staff.
• Address guest inquiries regarding menu items, including wine origin, vintage, and style.
• Log and manage call-back procedures for room service orders.
• Communicate specific guest requirements, such as allergies, dietary needs, and special requests, to the kitchen team.
• Inform guests and management promptly about any service delivery delays.

Operational Procedures

• Record all transactions precisely in the MICROS system at the time of order.
• Complete all required closing reports, including MICROS reports.
• Process various payment methods efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities as required.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation for their patronage.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests, utilizing appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Experience: No prior related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role requires adherence to quality expectations and standards, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. This position may involve standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance is also required. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by Supervisors.
