About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Planning Officer (Entry Level) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to project planning and operational efficiency within a leading organization.

Role Overview

The Planning Officer coordinates and supports projects related to operations, assisting in both planning and evaluation phases. This role is crucial for ensuring that all developing and existing projects are effective and align with the organization's overall goals and objectives. The officer will also contribute to analyzing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and will help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by overseeing aspects of project planning, inventory management, cost control, and general project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing planning data for Project Progress submittals and coordinate the submission of weekly and monthly reports with the Project Manager and Site Quantity Surveyor.
  • Prepare comprehensive planning reports, including manpower requirements and material procurement reports, in accordance with approved project programs.
  • Maintain project files and perform data input as directed by Planning Engineers.
  • Support the development and utilization of innovative tools and techniques to enhance the planning process.
  • Ensure all planning processes strictly adhere to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor day-to-day project work progress, providing accurate weekly and monthly reports, and promptly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
  • Continuously compare planned progress against actual progress and report any discrepancies to the Planning Engineer.
  • Ensure the accuracy of tracking and updating information required for weekly, biweekly, and monthly reports to monitor and report variances from planned productivities and targets, ensuring compliance with the contract schedule.
  • Provide feedback to the Planning Manager or Planning Engineer regarding subcontractor schedule status.
  • Prepare schedules, updates, and contribute to progress monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Input progress updates and other relevant information into Excel spreadsheets or designated software.
  • Collaborate closely with other project stakeholders, providing current status updates to vendors, managers, and other concerned personnel.
  • Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience in a planning or project support role.
