About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a PMO Governance & Portfolio Management Section Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing project portfolio and PMO activities within the Support Services Division, ensuring effective governance, alignment with business objectives, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the assigned portfolio of projects and monitor overall performance, ensuring alignment with approved objectives, priorities, and business plans.
Support project evaluation, prioritization, sequencing, and benefits realization, while identifying portfolio-level dependencies, constraints, risks, and opportunities.
Establish and maintain PMO governance, methodologies, standards, and templates, ensuring project teams adhere to approved practices and requirements.
Monitor compliance with governance, approvals, documentation, and reporting requirements, and improve PMO processes based on business needs and lessons learned.
Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and overall health, reviewing significant changes and corrective action plans.
Conduct project reviews and assurance activities, providing guidance to project managers and supporting the resolution of delivery challenges.
Consolidate project information into portfolio reports and dashboards, providing management with insights and recommendations.
Support governance and project review meetings, tracking management decisions and ensuring assigned actions are followed through to closure.
Monitor resource allocation, demand, and capacity across the project portfolio, supporting project initiation and business-case development.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of project vendors, monitoring their performance against contractual requirements.
Manage PMO team activities, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and develop team capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Monitor the PMO budget, ensure efficient use of resources, and promote accountability and continuous improvement.

Transform corporate goals into business plans, execute and monitor these plans, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Provide periodic work progress reports and manage budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency.
Develop the organizational structure according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available for all roles.
Develop and coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the use of IT solutions relevant to the job.
