About AtkinsRéalis and the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Director to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a high-end project situated at a remote site within the UAE. The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring strategic alignment and successful outcomes across a complex programme.

Project Context

The project is a multi-package programme involving mixed-use assets, requiring comprehensive oversight from design reviews through to site supervision. The Project Director will serve as the single point of contact between internal and external delivery teams, facilitating stakeholder coordination and ensuring the programme's objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-rise and complex buildings programmes and projects, taking full responsibility for all aspects of successful project delivery in both design and field operations.
• Manage and control the AMP Construction Contractors team, ensuring adequate resourcing and timely fulfillment of contractual responsibilities.
• Monitor procurement activities, schedules, technical submissions, resourcing, leadership, and management capabilities of the AMP Construction Contractor to identify performance shortfalls and implement solutions.
• Collaborate effectively to foster a high-performing team of project delivery professionals, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.
• Manage progress reporting, commercial and contractual aspects, and change management processes.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as sustainability requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of close-out documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Consultant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Amphitheatre or large public venues development projects.
• Proven experience in design management, project management, and construction supervision.
• Deep understanding of design and construction practices within the Middle East Construction Industry.
• Experience as a Construction Contractor in high-rise and complex buildings is preferred.
