Refinery Process SME

About the Role

RiDiK, a subsidiary of CLPS (Nasdaq: CLPS), is seeking a Refinery Process SME to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on providing process engineering expertise for AI and optimization solutions within refinery operations, specifically concerning Crude Distillation Units (CDU).

Role Context and Purpose

The Refinery Process SME will be instrumental in integrating process engineering knowledge with advanced AI and optimization technologies. This involves defining operational parameters, validating AI outputs, and supporting the continuous improvement of refinery unit performance to meet process and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define operating logic, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), engineering calculations, operational constraints, and troubleshooting workflows.
• Validate AI-generated alerts, predictions, and recommendations against established process and safety requirements.
• Support the monitoring and optimization of critical refinery equipment, including desalters, heat exchangers, furnaces, columns, pumps, and compressors.
• Provide domain-specific inputs for initiatives related to yield prediction, energy optimization, corrosion monitoring, and equipment performance analysis.
• Review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), operating procedures, and plant data to develop unit-specific engineering knowledge.
• Support activities such as model validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), solution demonstrations, and knowledge transfer sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in refinery process engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in CDU and general refinery processes.
• Experience with AI and optimization solutions in an industrial context is beneficial.
