About Alfanar Projects and the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking an experienced SAP Data & Analytics Services Team Lead to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is critical for driving the organization's data strategy and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The SAP Data & Analytics Services Team Lead is responsible for leading the delivery and execution of enterprise data and analytics solutions. This role involves overseeing Business Intelligence (BI), analytics, and data infrastructure teams to provide accurate, integrated insights and ensure data initiatives align with overall business goals and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
• Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data initiatives, ensuring integration across BI, analytics, and data infrastructure functions.
• Champion a data-driven culture by promoting the use of analytics in decision-making across business units.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
• Guide the development of advanced analytics models and ensure their alignment with business needs.
• Ensure robust architecture and governance of data warehouses and data lakes to support scalable and secure data operations.
• Act as the primary liaison between the data & analytics function and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business priorities.
• Translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language to support executive decision-making.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities across the organization.
• Foster innovation by encouraging experimentation with new data methodologies, tools, and platforms.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Monitor data quality across systems and lead initiatives to improve data accuracy and reliability.

Leadership and Operational Accountabilities

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers, creating a robust second line of management. Address low performance through guidance or necessary action.
• Ensure fair treatment of subordinates, with performance as the primary assessment criterion.
• Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making timely and proper decisions.
• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards, and exceeding business expectations.
• Transform corporate goals into business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these plans (annual or development).
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and take corrective measures.
• Provide periodic work progress reports and control budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency.
• Develop organizational structure according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available and deployed for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full use.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in leading data and analytics services.
• Proven expertise in BI, advanced analytics, and data infrastructure management, preferably within an SAP ecosystem.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy, engage stakeholders, and drive innovation in data solutions.
