About the Role

alfanar is seeking an SAP Data & Analytics Services Team Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading the delivery and execution of enterprise data and analytics solutions. The successful candidate will oversee BI, analytics, and data infrastructure teams to ensure the provision of accurate, integrated insights and the alignment of data initiatives with overarching business goals. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
• Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data initiatives, integrating functions across BI, analytics, and data infrastructure.
• Champion a data-driven culture by promoting the use of analytics in decision-making across business units.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
• Guide the development of advanced analytics models and ensure their alignment with business needs.
• Ensure robust architecture and governance of data warehouses and data lakes to support scalable and secure data operations.
• Act as the primary liaison between the data & analytics function and business stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into business-friendly language.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities and foster innovation through experimentation with new methodologies and platforms.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Monitor data quality across systems and lead initiatives to improve data accuracy and reliability.

Leadership and Team Management

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to develop a robust second line of management.
• Identify low performers and provide guidance for improvement or manage their release.
• Ensure fair and non-discriminatory treatment of subordinates, with assessment criteria based solely on performance and planned results.
• Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix to maintain sufficient delegations as per company policy.

Operational Excellence and Delivery

• Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and required deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making necessary and timely decisions.
• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards, and exceeding business expectations.
• Transform corporate goals into actionable business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these plans, whether annual or developmental.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and take corrective measures as needed.
• Provide periodic work progress reports and monitor/control budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency.
• Develop the organizational structure based on current requirements, considering future and development plans.
• Ensure job descriptions are available for all roles and deployed effectively.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full utilization to spread an automated culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in data and analytics, with a focus on SAP environments.
• Demonstrated experience in leading BI, analytics, and data infrastructure teams.
• Proven ability to develop and implement data strategies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of emerging data technologies and their application in an enterprise context.
