About the Opportunity

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on leading architectural design projects, with a strong emphasis on interface management within the consultancy sector and significant experience in site supervision for major infrastructure projects.

Core Architectural Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design projects from concept development through to construction completion.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, design standards, and regulatory guidelines throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and landscape architects, to integrate architectural designs into overall project plans.
• Develop and meticulously review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and constructability.

Site Oversight and Stakeholder Coordination

• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and investigations to gather essential data and inform design decisions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address architectural design requirements, resolve technical issues, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and proposed design changes.

Leadership and Professional Development

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and other design team members.
• Prepare design presentations, comprehensive reports, and detailed documentation for client meetings and project stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in architectural design and construction to ensure continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Senior Architect position should demonstrate the following:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural roles.
• Specific experience in interface management roles within the consultancy sector.
• A strong background in site supervision for complex infrastructure projects, including roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to significant projects within the region.
