J-B | جيبي is seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on managing and optimizing critical enterprise database environments.

Role Purpose

The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the company's database systems. This role involves comprehensive database management, from designing and implementing high availability solutions to ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation of DBA tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, optimize, secure, and support enterprise database environments.
• Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Manage database backup, recovery, restoration, and data protection strategies.
• Support database security, auditing, compliance, patching, and access controls.
• Manage and migrate database workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize SQL queries.
• Automate routine DBA tasks and support critical production incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Database Administration or a related role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proficiency with various database platforms such as Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Good knowledge of backup and recovery, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles.
• Solid understanding of database security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting is preferred.
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
