Senior Handover Manager

About the Role

Esnad Emdad is seeking an experienced Senior Handover Manager to support a high-profile infrastructure development project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the crucial phase of project completion, ensuring a seamless transition from construction to operational readiness.

Role Overview

The Senior Handover Manager will be responsible for orchestrating all activities related to acceptance testing, commissioning, handover, and asset transfer. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive strategies and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate acceptance testing, commissioning, handover, and asset transfer from construction to Operations.
• Develop and implement handover strategies, execution plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate with the Client, Authorities, PMCs, contractors, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Operations, HSE, and vendors.
• Oversee final acceptance and handover activities for FLS, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility piping, firewater systems, and mechanical packages.
• Coordinate mechanical completion verification, system readiness, punch-list closure, and certification.
• Support system energization, start-up, performance testing, and operational readiness reviews.
• Manage handover documentation, completion dossiers, turnover packages, as-built records, and final acceptance.
• Resolve technical issues affecting commissioning, system performance, and handover to Authorities and End-users/Operators.
• Ensure handover activities comply with project specifications, HSE requirements, PTW systems, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with Authorities and Client representatives to facilitate successful project close-out and asset transfer.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in FLS, MEP, mechanical, electrical, plumbing commissioning, and handover within infrastructure/building projects.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Lead Handover Engineer, Senior Commissioning, or Senior Handover role.
• Proven experience with utility systems, mechanical packages, brownfield modifications, and tie-ins.
• Strong experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, acceptance testing, and operational handover.
• Experience coordinating with Authorities, End-users, Operators, and Maintenance teams.
• PMP certification is preferred.
