About the Opportunity

Arena Europe, Middle East & Asia is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a temporary contract position, requiring a professional with 5-10 years of experience. The role focuses on leading and coordinating landscape design activities across various projects, ensuring high-quality design delivery from initial concept through to construction support.

Role Summary

The Senior Landscape Architect will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the landscape design vision throughout project lifecycles. This involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, contractors, and clients. The objective is to deliver innovative, practical, and buildable landscape solutions that adhere to Arena’s established design and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate landscape design delivery from project brief through concept, developed, and technical design stages.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all landscape design matters with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Manage landscape design coordination across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration with architecture, engineering, and project delivery requirements.
• Review and coordinate consultant outputs, resolve design issues, and maintain design quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and oversee high-quality presentations, reports, renderings, and client approval submissions.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, and provide construction-phase support to ensure design intent is successfully implemented.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, planning regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability principles.
• Support project management activities including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (5-10 years) delivering landscape projects from concept through construction.
• Strong experience managing and coordinating landscape design within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Experience in Design & Build projects.

Technical Skills and Software Proficiency

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office.
• Civil 3D experience is advantageous.
• BIM/Revit experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of planting design, hardscape materials, irrigation systems, grading, and sustainable landscape practices.

• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA) and familiarity with local authority approval processes are highly desirable.
