Yamama Cement Company is actively seeking a Senior Mechanic to join its operational team. This full-time role is based in Riyadh and is crucial for maintaining the mechanical integrity and efficiency of the company's production facilities.

The Senior Mechanic Role

The Senior Mechanic is responsible for executing a comprehensive range of mechanical maintenance tasks. This includes performing routine checks, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and responding to emergency repair needs to ensure continuous and safe operation of all mechanical equipment and production units.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency mechanical maintenance work in strict accordance with approved company policies and procedures.
• Monitor the operational performance of production units, ensuring they function within designated limits, and promptly report any observations that could impact equipment efficiency.
• Identify the necessary tools and equipment for maintenance tasks, assess their readiness, and conduct preventive maintenance to guarantee their continuous availability.
• Organize and store maintenance tools in their designated locations, ensure their proper upkeep, and manage the appropriate disposal of maintenance waste.
• Execute various mechanical repair works, including welding, cutting, and refurbishing replaced parts, to restore their efficiency and readiness for service.
• Comply rigorously with all safety procedures before initiating any work, which includes verifying required permits and lockout/tagout forms.
• Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Operational Oversight and Resource Management

This role demands a proactive approach to monitoring equipment performance and identifying potential issues before they escalate. The Senior Mechanic is also integral to effective resource management, ensuring that all maintenance tools are systematically organized, properly stored, and consistently maintained for optimal readiness.

Safety and Compliance Focus

A strong commitment to safety is fundamental to this position. The Senior Mechanic must adhere to all established safety protocols, including the verification of necessary work permits and lockout/tagout procedures, prior to commencing any mechanical work. Responsible handling and disposal of maintenance waste are also key aspects of this role.
