Senior Patch Management Lead

About the Role

Jobstronaut is seeking an experienced Senior Patch Management Lead to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves owning and managing the end-to-end enterprise patch management lifecycle across various IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, databases, network, security, and end-user computing.

Role Overview

The Senior Patch Management Lead will be responsible for establishing and maintaining patch governance, planning, prioritization, and deployment coordination. The role focuses on ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and the timely remediation of vulnerabilities within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end patch management activities across the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain patching policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate patching activities across Windows, Linux, AIX, VMware, databases, applications, network, and security platforms.
• Review vulnerability and security advisories, prioritizing patches based on risk and criticality.
• Develop monthly and quarterly patching calendars and deployment plans.
• Coordinate patching activities with infrastructure, application, database, network, security, and business teams.
• Ensure patches are properly tested before production deployment.
• Monitor patch compliance and remediation against defined SLAs.
• Manage patch exceptions, risk acceptances, and compensating controls.
• Provide management dashboards and compliance reports.
• Lead patch-related incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and remediation efforts.
• Ensure patch management processes align with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of patch management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in patch management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex enterprise patch management lifecycles.
• Strong understanding of various operating systems, databases, applications, and network security platforms.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working within a dedicated team focused on maintaining robust security postures across the organization's IT landscape.
