About the Role

Nagarro is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Resilience Engineering to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on driving chaos engineering strategy and resilience initiatives across diverse infrastructure environments.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Senior Staff Engineer will serve as a Technical Lead for Resilience Engineering, responsible for defining best practices and leading strategic initiatives. This role is critical for enhancing system reliability and stability within hybrid infrastructure environments through advanced chaos engineering methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the chaos engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Lead the design of advanced chaos experiments across infrastructure, network, and application layers.
• Mentor engineers in resilience and chaos engineering practices.
• Standardize frameworks for automated chaos testing.
• Drive the adoption of resilience practices across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to embed resilience into system design.
• Define Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets aligned with reliability goals.
• Lead game days and failure simulations.
• Drive observability maturity across systems.

Leadership and Strategic Contributions

• Influence cross-functional teams to foster a culture of resilience.
• Define engineering standards and best practices for system reliability.
• Drive a cultural shift towards resilience-first engineering principles.

Candidate Profile and Experience

Candidates for this Senior Staff Engineer role should possess 5-10 years of experience in resilience engineering, chaos engineering, or a related field.
