About the Structural Inspector Role

AECOM is seeking a Structural Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and integrity of buildings and structures across the region. The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, bridges, and other structures to assess structural integrity and compliance with local and international building codes.
  • Analyze structural designs, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify potential issues or areas of concern.
  • Perform on-site inspections during various stages of construction to ensure adherence to approved plans and specifications.
  • Utilize advanced structural analysis software to evaluate complex structural systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including any deficiencies or code violations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to address structural issues and recommend solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
  • Provide expert advice on structural matters to project stakeholders and government officials.
  • Participate in the review and approval process for building permits and occupancy certificates.
  • Conduct post-disaster assessments of structures affected by natural or man-made events.

Required Experience and Attributes

Candidates for this role should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in structural inspection or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and analytical in assessing structural integrity.
  • Proficiency in analyzing structural designs, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with local and international building codes, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
  • Experience with structural analysis software is preferred.
