About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structure Design Engineer Bridges to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for an experienced professional to lead and contribute to bridge design and supervision across various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, analysis, and delivery of steel bridge structures through all project phases, including concept, preliminary, detailed design, construction supervision, and closeout.
Develop bridge engineering solutions for complex urban transportation corridors and highway networks.
Coordinate bridge designs with multidisciplinary teams, including highways, utilities, traffic, drainage, geotechnical, and construction disciplines.
Perform structural analysis, design calculations, technical reviews, and independent design verification.
Provide construction support services, such as responding to technical queries, reviewing shop drawings, method statements, temporary works proposals, and material submittals.
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Review contractor submissions and oversee bridge construction, erection, launching, rehabilitation, strengthening, and maintenance works.
Identify and resolve design and construction issues during project execution.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, Saudi regulations, and international bridge design standards such as AASHTO, Eurocodes, and relevant local codes.
Support stakeholder engagement and coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility agencies, and government authorities.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within bridge design and supervision teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in structural design engineering, specifically with bridges. The position requires a professional who can manage complex projects and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills

Proficiency in leading design, analysis, and delivery of steel bridge structures.
Ability to develop innovative and practical bridge engineering solutions.
Strong coordination skills for multidisciplinary teams.
Expertise in structural analysis, design calculations, and technical reviews.
Knowledge of construction support services and site inspection protocols.
