About the Role

Wood is seeking a Piping Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position supports our Projects business, with the project site located approximately 150 km from Riyadh. The role requires an engineer with 5-10 years of experience in engineering design projects within the oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, or infrastructure industries.

Key Responsibilities and Project Focus

The Piping Engineer is responsible for the comprehensive aspects of piping design, plant layout, and piping stress concepts. This includes ensuring designs meet general requirements from a construction, maintenance, and operability perspective. The role involves managing engineering deliverables, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring project standards are met.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
• Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Supervise engineering work produced by junior team members.
• Conduct and receive job-related training as required.
• Plan and complete work effectively within allocated man-hours to avoid slippage.
• Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
• Delegate and distribute work, and manage team billability.
• Coordinate with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of deliverables, ensuring other disciplines' input is incorporated.
• Conduct site visits to verify site conditions and perform as-built activities or markup drawings.
• Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper record management.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in engineering design projects within oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, or infrastructure industries.
• Demonstrated experience with Saudi Aramco projects.
• Proven experience in conducting and participating in 3D Model Review Sessions.

Essential Skills and Technical Expertise

• Full knowledge of Aramco standards.
• Proficiency in technical report writing and preparation of presentations.
• Experience in vendor document review and subcontract scope management.

Project Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, supporting a project site located approximately 150 km from Riyadh. The role requires regular presence at the project site to ensure effective oversight and coordination.
