Transport and Service Supervisor Al Futtaim Automotive Supply Chain

About the Role

Al Futtaim Group is seeking a Transport and Service Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and optimization of vehicle movement and servicing within the automotive yard.

Role Purpose and Context

This role is crucial for maintaining workflow efficiency, facilitating timely vehicle dispatch, and ensuring effective communication among the yard, suppliers, service providers, and customers. The Supervisor will ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards in KSA, focusing on maximizing fleet efficiency, supervising staff, and controlling financial dimensions such as trip allowances and fuel consumption to achieve high customer service levels.

Operational Management and Efficiency

• Maximize SAP utilization in daily transport planning activities to maintain system integrity and exceed customer service level expectations.
• Ensure maximum fleet utilization and resource control, including monitoring fleet availability and assigning vehicles based on priority, service requirements, or customer needs.
• Monitor fleet running costs and fuel consumption, identify areas requiring improvement, and develop plans to rectify shortfalls.
• Conduct regular Toolbox Training with Heavy Vehicle (HV) Drivers to maintain high standards of vehicle handling and driving.

Compliance, Reporting, and Customer Service

• Work in conjunction with the QA Team to reduce accidents and damage across the supply chain, with emphasis on road traffic accidents involving heavy vehicles.
• Prepare monthly reports, including Trip Allowance Report, Vehicle Offload Report, Overtime Allowance Report, Car Carrier Allowance Reports, Payroll Reports, and Petty Cash Reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of billing statements to the Transport Manager on a monthly basis.
• Maintain a clear understanding of customer lead times and required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring execution meets or exceeds expectations.
• Measure monthly customer KPIs based on Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure standards are met and improvements are tracked.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a transport and service coordination role, preferably within an automotive or supply chain context. A strong understanding of logistics, fleet management, and KSA safety and compliance standards is required.
