Egress Senior Supervisor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Egress Senior Supervisor to join their team in Taif. This full-time role is crucial for supporting the Salam Project's success by ensuring the Maintenance Support Service meets contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and Key Performance Measurements (KPM). The position requires over 10 years of experience and offers a competitive salary.

Company Context

BAE Systems serves as the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor for providing equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia under Government-to-Government arrangements. The company is responsible for maintaining Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and training RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in the safe use of aircraft, equipment, and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is also committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capability through partner companies, reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Review maintenance practices, challenge current methods, and identify potential improvements within the organisation.
• Address any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety within the area of responsibility and escalate concerns to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
• Manage and ensure the availability of necessary manpower and facilities resources in accordance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Accountable for the development reports of all personnel under direct and indirect line management within the area of responsibility.
• Provide consolidation and counterpart development activities for RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.
• Manage the operational readiness of shop equipment, align with the component repair plan, and highlight necessary calibrations, ensuring correct tooling and approved data are available.
• Report and monitor damage or deficiencies to equipment and infrastructure using appropriate media.
• Maintain anti-FOD surveillance and report potential hazards, enhanced by regular oversight checks of the shop and components.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks meet the highest quality standards, including accurate recording on the airworthiness tool (ESS).
• Support knowledge transfer and skill development among team members, maintaining training records and logs.
• Manage the TTP131 spreadsheet to reflect forecasted planning and highlight deficiencies or delivery issues with consumables and PPE.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with maintenance teams, engineering departments, and management.
• Confirm, where possible, that all equipment entering the Egress shop is free from explosives.
• Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker seat and canopy component authorisations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
• Extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace training, or substantial years of experience on the same aircraft type.
• Relevant type equipment-specific training.
• Recent experience in a relevant management role.
• Working knowledge of EASA/M&CA Part 145.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to supervise engineering personnel at all levels.
• Ability to obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA, and maintain it throughout employment.
• Holds at least 2nd Signature authorisation.
• Experience working with ESS.
